TED
It seems a really good idea to practice English by listening to Ted videos. I can clearly feel that this idea is working into practice. But other than providing a very nice and effective way to work on my English skills, Ted teaches me lots of worthy lessons that I could ever learn in my whole life. In the early morning on my way to work in taxi or in the subway, I listened to MS Elizabeth Gilbert who beautifully made her best to share her experience which enlighten us about how we can achieve great satisfaction of ourselves by not getting trapped in the deep darkness of our failure or the sharp glare of successes. She said whether we success beyond our expectations or experience a breaking failure, we shall not distance ourselves from our home. And home is where you want to be there and you love it more than you love yourself. It might be adventure, writing, faith, service... etc. You put all your energy and enthusiasm for that thing. You devote yourself for it while the result has become absolutely inconsequential to you. You do it for the sheer devotion of it. So in both cases, failure or success, I will have to find a way back home again. I shall put my head down and make my hardest and perform with diligence and reverence. She assures me with her very long experience in every direction that every things gonna be ok.
I am extremely grateful to start and accept the challenge of practicing English every other week as a habit which ultimately makes me feel like I am doing that for the sheer devotion of it in which the result becomes pretty inconsequential. Despite leaving me in a really tricky position of dealing with getting sleep-deprived, moving forward as person who thrives when she is pushed, makes me incredibly fine which is to say makes me regard this task as a vocation.
To gin up the inspiration of writing constantly, every now and then I will report here the lessons I have learned.
